I sound like an old house

One of the funniest, although perhaps a little unsettling, things I find in life is the noises the body makes. I'm not talking about 'passing wind' or anything like that, but general groaning or noises. Funnier still is when you can't 'feel' the noises, but just hear them, and start thinking 'Am I really making that noise?'

Since I started eating my porridge five minutes ago, my stomach has sounded like an empty old house which people have just returned to, floorboards creaking and all. It's crazy, I can't feel it, but it's really noisy! I just wanna tell it to shut up, and it keeps going :-)

There's two ways of looking at and living with noisy old houses, and with chattering stomachs, Pete. The best way is to enjoy it, laying back and enjoying the experience. The other way is the road best not taken...:)
