The Mars Volta - Frances The Mute

Yesterday I bought Frances The Mute, the new album by The Mars Volta. It totally kicks butt. It's easily better than Deloused in the Comatorium. It's a progressive rock concept album (although the band themselves find these terms meaningless) in the same vein as all those weird Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd albums. The Mars Volta are somewhat heavier rock-wise though, but infuse a lot of Spanish and jazz elements into otherwise heavy rock.

If you have iTunes, click here to see/sample it. Sadly the best tracks are all the ones you can't buy individually ;-) Listen to the full 30 seconds of the first track's sample to get a feel for how nuts it is.
