A-list blogs are just "the best of the rest"

I can't say I'm surprised with who's blogged about Feed Digest first. It's not the A-list bloggers; it's not the blogs about RSS tools; it's the long tail of smaller bloggers. It was the same with RSS Digest a year ago, and then with Snippets.

A-list bloggers appear to be relevant and up to date, as they're the most amplified and most connected, but nearly all stories start somewhere really obscure and work their way up the food chain. That's nature, and, well, that's how the blogosphere works too. Perhaps A-list blogs are simply "the best of the rest"?

Actually, when you put it that way, it sounds like they're just aggregating the rest of us. There's just a cut-off point below which you don't get linked, whether you're the original source or not.
