Japanese spam

For the past few weeks, but especially today, I've been inundated with Japanese spam. No idea why. I can't make head nor tail of it. The addresses they're hitting are ones I've used on the Web from time to time, and the links they contain are adult in nature, but when I click around on them, you never seem to be able to get anywhere. Weirdness.
