Wishes for 2006

2005 was the best year on record for me. I met Laura, launched (and received investment for) a business, worked some lucrative contracts, moved home, bought a couple of Macs, and even dipped my toes into the world of Ruby on Rails training. I also worked out how to use AdSense properly and have crossed the $500/month barrier, so I'm delighted.

There's still a lot to be done though (not least the problem of paying taxes next year, oops), but I've got some wishes for the year to come:

But the biggest goal is.. to lose my job!

Being self employed is great, but at the end of the day you're generally still at someone's beck and call when you're working on certain projects. I want to attain the freedom of still having a few loyal clients, but being able to spend 90% of my time on whatever I want to work on. I will achieve this in 2006.
