Dell 2007FPW TFT display

Dell2007Wfp

What a cute screen. I'm really keen on the Apple Cinema Displays, and no fan of Dell at all, but as Apple's displays are way overpriced, and these are pretty close in the 'nice' department. This 2007FPW has composite and S-Video inputs, is HDTV compatible, and has a resolution of 1680x1050 (the same as my 17" PowerBook, but still). It's only $529 too. In the UK, Overclockers have the 2005FPW for £399.44, but it's not quite as good looking and has a thicker bezel. They have the 3007FPW (the 30" version of the 2007FPW) at £1467.58 but hardly anyone needs a 2560 x 1600 30" display, right?

I'm a bit annoyed with myself as I've just bought the last incarnations of this monitor. The specs haven't changed at all but it includes a HDTV input and the industrial design is a tad nicer.

I had vowed a few years ago never to buy another Dell, and thus far I've managed to keep that promise, with the exception of buying a 2001FP. For the money paid, it was totally worth it, and the best flat panel at least out of all my friends (none of us can afford the Cinema displays). I still hate their computers and audio players, but Dell does an excellent job with monitors.
