AA Route Planner

Aasteps

The AA Route Planner is the best way to plan a journey in the United Kingdom or Europe in my opinion. It's particularly good if you want to print out the instructions of where you're going, as the AA route planner tries to keep every step of the journey on a single line rather than giving you too much information. See the picture above for a demonstration.

If you're looking for a good itinerary that you can print out for the car, then the AA route planner is the best one I've found so far, but if you need a good map that you can use on your computer easily, then I'd recommend Google Maps UK instead as its AJAX based map is just too slick to be beaten.
