BBC News adds AJAX powered local news and weather

Bbclocalnews

news.bbc.co.uk is one of the few Web pages I still visit each day. I want to scan news rather than have it fed to me with the RSS River of News, so it makes sense to visit. Yesterday I noticed they'd added a new box to the page (as above). You enter your postcode, and from then on you get your local weather and a few local headlines in that section of the page. It's AJAX powered and stylized nicely.
