The Electoral Roll Blues

The Man (or, less insidiously, East Lindsey District Council) sent some pamphlet around the other day demanding information for the Electoral Roll. Basically you have to keep your details on the electoral system updated from time to time. Our form had the previous tenants' names on it. Since receiving it, the whole house has had an entire tidy-up, and my lovingly constructed piles of papers are nowhere to be seen. So, the form is now lost.

As far as I understand it, you don't have to return it, although you do have to give the information if an electoral officer turns up at the door otherwise you're breaking the law. Short of calling the council to ask for another form, can I just forget about it and wait till an electoral officer comes a-knocking? (I couldn't care less about being on the electoral register or about voting, so I'm not worried about that side of it.)

(Crisis over. Laura had stashed it away somewhere :))
