Tax bill arrives

My tax bill arrived today (surprisingly quick). It was almost spot on what I'd calculated it would be, unlike usual, but I'm always glad to let the tax man calculate it instead so I can just pay it without any arguments.

I'd rather just have a flat tax to be honest. I'd probably end up paying more but it'd be a lot easier if you could write down income, expenses, profit and then just pay X% on it rather than all the bands, odd rules, and bureaucracy that surrounds the system now. It'd probably mean they could get rid of a few thousand tax inspectors at the same time.
